Question 7
Sasha Cinza's Slidely by Slidely Slideshow
On my first image seen on the slideshow which is my school magazine front cover,I used fireworks to create this.I did not edit my image however,I did edit the background out of my image,I then put a different background on my image as the previous background on my image was distracting and I couldn't see my text against it.The new background I chose was light so that it was not distracting and so that I could see my text against it.I had to plan what type of photo I wanted to take and where I wanted to take my photo before I could take them.I took different styles of pictures for my school magazine with different locations so that all of my pictures didnt look the same.I followed a code and convention for a normal magazine front cover to layout my magazine front cover.I developed an understanding of codes and conventions when researching magazine front covers to use as inspiration for my magazine front cover.I used a variety of fonts and font colours however,I used the colour scheme of the school I was doing the magazine for which was red and black.
On my second image on the slideshow which is m school contents page I also used fireworks to create this.I also did not edit the images that are on my contents page.I also kept the backgrounds on these images as I was not putting text over them. However,I did edit one image which I was putting behind my 'Inside' collumn also known as a feautures collumn as I didnt want the background for that collumn to be plain.I had to wash out the image as the orignial image was too dark to be put behind the collumn as my text could not be seen over it.I took different styles of pictures for my school magazine with different locations so that all of my pictures didnt look the same.I had to plan what type of photos I wanted to take and where I wanted to take my photos before I could take them.I followed a code and conventions when creating my school magazine contents page.I devloped an undertanding for these codes and coventions when I was researching magazine contents pages to use as inspiration for my magzine contents page..I used a variety of font colours however,I used the colour scheme of the school I was doing the magazine for which was red and black.I also kept all my fonts the same on this contents page as I wanted my contents page fonts to be consistent.
On my third image on the slideshow which is my music magazine front cover.I used fireworks to create this.I did not edit this image on my front cover,I also kept the background the same on this image as the background was light and the background stood out against it.I did not change my background to white as it looked too plain so I kept my orginal background which is a cream colour.I had to plan what type of photo I wanted to take before I took it and where I wanted to take my image.I planned what type of photo I wanted to take by researching other music magazines which has similar music taste to my magazine and looking at the images they used on their magazine front covers. One magazine I found extremely helpful was billboard magazine as they were a music magazine which was similar to mine and they had a variety of front cover images including close up photos and staged poses photos.I followed codes and coventions when making my music magazine front cover,I developed an understanding for codes and conventions whren researching other music magazines.I used a variety of diferent fonts and font colours on my music magazine front cover,I did this for emphasis and to make my text stand out.I used plum, blue, black and white for the colours on my front cover,I used these fonts on my front cover as they looked youthful and modern which is what my magazine represents.
On my fourth image on the slideshow which is my music magazine contents page,I also used fireworks to create this.I did not edit any of my images on my contents page however,I did edit out the background of my images,I had to plan the photos I wanted to use for my contents page because I needed to base my article names on my pictures so I had to make sure I was taking the correct pictures.I used a the same fonts and font colours as I wanted my fonts and font colours to be continous for my contents page.I followed codes and conventions to create my contents page.I developed an understanding for codes and conventions of contents pages when I was researching contents pages for my inspirartion for my contents page.
On my fifth image on this slideshow which is my music magazine double page spread,I also used fireworks to create this.I did edit my images on my double page spread,my image on the left I washed out in certain areas of the photo so that my text would stand out against the photo and so that my image did not distract from the text however, the rest of the photo I didnt wash out as I wanted my image to stand out and when the image was washed out it didnt stand out as well as I wanted it to therefore I decided not to wash the whole image out.I also edidted out the background of this image as the background was darker than I wanted it to be and I felt that the text did not stand out against it well. The large image on the right I did not edit,I left this as it was.I tryed editing this image and washing it out however,I feel it looked bad and that it didnt stand out like I would have liked it to so I decided to leave the image as it was.I also didnt edit the background of this image out as the background of this image was a suitable brightness,I tryed the image with editing the background out and replacing it with a plain white background however, the plain white background made the image look too plain so I decided to leave the original background on the image which is a creamy colour.I had to plan the photos I wanted to use for my double page spread because I wanted a staged photo behind my text,I wanted a staged photo behind my text because I feel that if I had a non staged photo my photo wouldnt stand out against the text as it is a typical photo you would see in most magazines so people wouldnt really pay attention to it whereas a staged photo which is unusual and that you dont see in a lot of magazines would stand out and people would pay attention to it.I followed codes and conventions for my double page spread,I devolped an understanding for codes and conventions for a double page spread when I was researching double page spreads for inspiration for my double page spread.I made sure that I used the same fonts and font colours that were used on my magazine front cover and throughout my magazine so that my fonts, font sizes and font colours were continous.

Question 4
Who would be the audience for your media product?
My music magazine ‘NOISE’ is aimed at young people aged 14 –
18. As most of my readers are either not old enough for a job or would only
be able to get a part time job due to being in school/university full time I
didn’t want to make my magazine expensive so I didn’t charge my magazine at an
expensive price.
My magazine is aimed at both genders however, it is aimed at
mainly females being aimed 65% at females and 35% at males.
The values and beliefs my audience would have is spending
time with their friends and family, going to concerts and festivals, listening
to music, fashion, celebrities and going to places such as the cinema.

The type of things my audience would spend their money on
would be clothes and other fashion eg: shoes, bags, accessories etc. They would
also spend their money on electronic items such as Iphone’s, Ipods, Ipads, laptops,
tablets and cameras. They would also spend money on items such as CD’s, dvd’s,
magazines and ITunes, these are all items which involve the media.

My audience would shop at shops such as River Island, Topshop,
New look and Urban Outfitters, all these shops are shops that an average
teenager would shop at. The style of clothes my audience would wear would be
casual clothing, sometimes dressing ‘girly’ and sometimes dressing ‘indie’. The
shops named above would sell this style of clothes.I think that the side of my
audience which prefers the indie bands and artists such as The Arctic
monkeys,The 1975 and Ed Sheeran would dress with the ‘indie’ style and the side
of my audience which prefers the pop artists such as Ellie Goulding would dress
more ‘girly’.

My audience would also use social media a lot, especially
social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The stereotype of my audience will be a typical teenage girl
or boy.
I think that my primary audience would look like this because this
looks like how an average teenager would look or dress with some with an ‘indie’ style
and some with a ‘girly’ style.

My primary audience would be female teenagers aged 14 – 18 and
my secondary audience would be male teenagers aged 14- 18.My primary audience
would be 65% and my secondary audience would be 35%.The different characteristics
of my primary and secondary audience is mainly the gender as I think the age of
my audience will be the same for both genders. I think that the female readers
of my magazine will prefer the artists who create pop music and the male
readers of my magazine will prefer the artists who create more indie music.
